THE WALKING DEAD's Jon Bernthal Sought for TNT's L.A. NOIR

Jon Bernthal may reunite with his The Walking Dead executive producer, Frank Darabont. Variety reports that Bernthal is in early talks with TNT to star in its period drama pilot L.A. Noir, which is being shepherded by Darabont.

The talks are still in very early stages. Bernthal would play "Joe Teague, the Los Angeles cop at the center of the show that examines corruption in the LAPD and ties between police and underworld figures in the 1940s and '50s." Noir was picked up earlier this month by TNT. The show is based on the book by John Buntin. Darabont wrote the script and will helm the show for TNT Original Productions.

I love Bernthal on The Walking Dead and hope that this does not mean he would be leaving that show. He has been busy during the shows down time. He just wrapped Summit Entertainment's action-thriller Snitch, opposite Dwayne Johnson and Susan Sarandon.
