Fifth TERMINATOR Movie To Be Rated R?
I am still shaking my head at the idea of a PG-13 Expendables 2. At least there are a few other films in the works that are headed into more adult territory. AICN reports that the fifth Terminator film will be rated R; at least, that is what Megan Ellison has to say about it.
The TerminatorFans recently tweeted @MeganEllison to find out if the fifth film would be rated PG-13, and here is what she said:
We can't really tell you guys anything about Terminator BUT it will be an R rated film as God and James Cameron intended.
So far all of the past Terminator movies have had an R-rating, except for McG's 2009 Terminator Salvation. This makes up a bit for the Expendables news. It has also been recently announced that Riddick and The Last Exorcism sequel will both have R ratings as well.
It makes complete sense for all of the above films to be rated R. I understand why some studios shy away from an R-rating in order to get a wider audience in the seats, but I hope that the R-rating trend continues. I could never imagine an Oldboy remake that was rated PG-13, could you?
