THE HANGOVER 3 Cast Asks For Raises, And I Say Give 'Em To Them!
The Hangover 3's cast may be close to a big payday, and I say they are worth every penny. THR reports that Bradley Cooper, Zach Galifianakis and Ed Helms are finally nearing a deal, after holding out for pay increases for the third installment of the franchise. Sources close to the studio say that the trio is close to getting $15 million each (against backend) to reprise their roles.
This would be a hefty raise from 2009’s The Hangover, which cost about $35 million and paid the leads under $1 million each. The first film raked in an unexpected $467 million worldwide. Unfortunately, the studio had not negotiated sequel contracts for the cast, and for The Hangover 2 they were paid $5 million (plus back-end), which made their take closer to the mid-teens (and counting) when the movie grossed $581 million worldwide. The actors (and director Todd Phillips) are all represented by CAA and have presented a united front during negotiations for the third film.
