Paul Rudd, Owen Wilson, Christopher Walken, and Kristen Wiig May Freeze for Cryogenics Adaptation

Who doesn't like a movie about people getting frozen? Deadline reports Kristen Wiig, Paul Rudd, Owen Wilson, and Christopher Walken are circling Freezing People Is Easy, which will be directed by Academy Award-winning director Errol Morris (Gates of Heaven). The script was penned by Zach Helm (Stranger Than Fiction) and will be produced by Film Rites’ Steve Zaillian and Garrett Basch, along with This American Life‘s Ira Glass and Alissa Shipp.

The concept is based on an episode of This American Life, about the memoir We Froze The First Man. Helm's script will tell the true story of "Bob Nelson, a 1960s Los Angeles television repairman who tried to pioneer the field of cryogenics by freezing humans. He quickly discovered that it was more difficult than he imagined." The film is slated to start shooting in mid-2012.

Wiig has been in hot demand since Bridesmaids was released over the summer. Rudd and Wilson are both go-to actors for quirky roles, so that is no surprise they have been sought. Walken has always played off-the-wall characters, and always stands out in every scene that he is in. What are your thoughts on this news?
