The Music That Inspired Hans Zimmer's DARK KNIGHT Score

Here's a very interesting video giving us the source of inspiration for Hans Zimmer's musical score for Christopher Nolan's The Dark Knight. The music is so similar that it's hard not hard to believe that this is exactly what Zimmer used for his musical score in the film. Obviously Zimmer is a huge fan of the music of Edith Piaf, the big question I have to ask you... after listening to this music do you think Zimmer is paying homage to Piaf, is it plagiarism or a conicidence?
