Kevin Coster Teams up with McG for a New Action-Thriller

Movie Kevin CostnerMcG by Joey Paur

Kevin Costner's acting career continues to blow up after his incredible performance in The History Channel's Hatfields & McCoys. He just landed another new acting gig for an untitled action-thriller set to be directed by McG and produced by Relativity Media.

The film project was originally called Three Days to Kill, and it only gets more interesting, as it was written by Luc Besson (Taken) and Adi Hasak (From Paris With Love). The story follows a dying Secret Service agent played by Costner "who decides to retire in order to reconnect with his estranged family. When the Secret Service offers him access to an experimental drug that could save his life in exchange for one last assignment, he finds himself trying to juggle his family, his mission, and the drug's hallucinatory side-effects."

I like the concept, and it has a character I'd be interested in seeing Costner play. The actor is currently shooting the new Jack Ryan movie with Chis Pine, and will be shooting a spin-off film after. He also plays Jonathan Kent in Zack Snyder's upcoming Superman film.

The last film McG directed was This Means War, and that was actually a solidly good film. Hopefully he can turn this into an entertaining movie as well.

Do you think this is a good team up of talent? What's your favorite Costner movie, and your favorite McG movie?
