Kurt Russell, Peter Sarsgaard (Green Lantern), Richard Jenkins (The Cabin in the Woods) and Jennifer Carpenter (Dexter) are all set to star in a new cannibalistic western thriller called Bone Tomahawk!
According to Variety the movie will be brutally violent and character-driven. The story "follows a sheriff (Russell), a gunslinger, a befuddled oldster (Jenkins) and a cowboy (Sarsgaard) as they attempt to rescue a group of captives (including Carpenter) from a band of cannibalistic troglodytes."
Screenwriter S. Craig Zahler (The Brigands of Rattleborge) will direct the horror-western for Caliber Media from a script that he also wrote. This will be the first time Zahler has directed a movie, and it sounds like a great and fun project! I love the concept, and I can't wait to see how it turns out. It definitely has a great cast.
