Moby Dick in Space Movie Being Directed by Lynne Ramsay
Lynne Ramsay is set to write and direct a new sci-fi movie called Mobius, which is basically a retelling of the classic Herman Melville novel Moby Dick, but in space. I don't know much about Ramsay's work, but it seems the one thing she's best known for making is a film called We Need to Talk About Kevin.
Mobius is described as a psychological action thriller set in deep space, and follows a captain consumed by revenge. Like in the original story he takes his crew on a death mission fueled by his own ego and will to control an enigmatic alien. This sounds like it has potential to be a really good movie. I can easily see this classic story as a sci-fi space movie. It also seems like it would be a great role for any actor to take on.
