LES MISERABLES Poster of Sacha Baron Cohen and Helena Bonham Carter
"Welcome, Monsieur. Sit yourself down. And meet the best innkeeper in town…"
Universal Pictures has released a couple new character posters for Tom Hooper's epic movie musical adaptation of Les Misérables. The poster above gives us our first look at Sacha Baron Cohen and Helena Bonham Carter looking a little crazy as the abusive, villainous, conniving and comedic innkeepers in the story. The other new character poster below features Cosette and Marius played by Amanda Seyfried and Eddie Redmayne.
As a bonus, I've also added a video of Russell Crowe doing warm-ups by signing the song "Old Man River." I've been curious to hear Crowe sing, and this is the first time I've heard him sing anything. I'm actually a little surprised by his voice, it sounds like he'll be able to hold his own in the film.
The movie arrives in theaters on December 25th, and I'm looking forward to seeing it! What do you think of our first look at Baron Cohen and Bonham Carter?
The movie also stars Hugh Jackman, Anne Hathaway, Aaron Tveit and Samantha Barks.
Set against the backdrop of 19th-century France, Les Misérables tells an enthralling story of broken dreams and unrequited love, passion, sacrifice and redemption—a timeless testament to the survival of the human spirit. Jackman plays ex-prisoner Jean Valjean, hunted for decades by the ruthless policeman Javert (Crowe) after he breaks parole. When Valjean agrees to care for factory worker Fantine’s (Hathaway) young daughter, Cosette, their lives change forever.
