Judd Apatow's 22 Year Old SIMPSONS Script Will Be Brought To Life!
Judd Apatow got his big break with the classic short lived TV series Freak and Geeks. Before that he was trying to break into the industry by writing unsolicited scripts for TV shows. He recently revealed that he wrote one for The Simpsons that sounded pretty funny. He explained that all of the films he's made over the years have carried the same theme that he wrote in that Simpsons script. Now after two decades, it looks like that script will be brought to life!
In the story Homer is hypnotized into thinking that he’s 10 years old again and winds up as best friends with Bart.
During an interview with Conan O’Brien on his web series Serious Jibber-Jabber, Apatow, who is the writer-producer-director of films such as Knocked Up and The 40-Year-Old Virgin, revealed that after he mentioned the Simpsons script he wrote, the show’s producers contacted him, and they plan on bringing the episode he wrote to life! This news was confirmed by producer Al Jean on EW who said "I thought, ‘Well, we’re always looking for good shows and good writers, I sent word to him: ‘If you’re interested, we’ll buy it.’ I think he had to find it — it was in one of his boxes.” You've got to admit this is extremely cool!
