Abraham Lincoln Running with His Vampire Hunting Axe

Here's a new image from the awesome looking Timur Bekmambetov-directed film Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter. We've seen a lot of photos for this film recently, and I think it's about time we actually got ourselves a trailer to watch. I believe it should be coming out later this evening so stay tuned!

The image features Benjamin Walker as Lincoln running with his vampire killing axe of death. The story focuses on the 16th president as he embarks on a journey to rid the world of the evil vampires who murdered his mother. The cast also includes Anthony Mackie, Jimmi Simpson, and Mary Elisabeth Winstead.

Here's the Synopsis:

Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter is a re-imagining of the 16th President's life that depicts him as an axe-throwing, highly accomplished killer of vampires -- an obsession of his since those bloodsuckers supposedly took the life of his mother. Lincoln eventually learns that the vampires have fled to the southern states of the U.S. and are concocting a plan to conquer and enslave the entire country -- this in turn leads to the Civil War between the Union and the Confederacy, the latter of which the vampires are aligned with. 

The movie is scheduled to hit theaters on June 22th, 2012.
