LEGION Becoming SyFy Series

The supernatural thriller Legion is being turned into a Syfy series. Deadline reports that the 2010 movie, which starred Paul Bettany, is being being developed for the small screen. The film's director/co-writer Scott Stewart is going to direct and exec produce the TV adaptation. Vaun Wilmott (Sons Of Anarchy) is writing the script for the show being produced by Sony Pictures TV.

The film "chronicled the human race’s battle for survival against God’s legion of angels sent by him to bring on the Apocalypse. The people get an unlikely ally in Archangel Michael (Bettany), who disobeys God’s order and decides to help them." The show will be exec produced by Bold Films’ David Lancaster and Michael Litvak. The potential series has a budget of $26 million. The movie grossed $68 million worldwide. I liked the movie to an extent and can actually see this show doing well at SyFy.
