CABIN FEVER: PATIENT ZERO Finds a Director

In the entertainment industry, to transition from one end of the spectrum to the other is never the easiest thing to do. Comic-book writer/artist Kaare Andrews is about to find out how difficult that transition will be. He is currently in final negotiations to direct the prequel to Eli Roth’s Cabin Fever.
THR has reported that Andrews is going to take on Cabin Fever: Patient Zero. I know, it sounds like the title of a movie from a Seinfeld episode, but it is real, and it is happening. Here is the synopsis from THR:
Patient Zero will tell the origin of the flesh-eating virus that was unleashed in the 2002 original, directed by Eli Roth. The new film follows the passengers of a cruise ship in the Caribbean that runs aground a research island. They must find a way to survive before the disease consumes them.
If you are looking for a good ole gore flick, this might just do the trick. As for me, I think I might pass on this one. Let us know what you think.
