AKIRA - Fan-Made Live Action Trailer

Warner Bros. is slowly but surely trying to get a live action adaptation of Katsuhiro Otomo's Akira to the big screen. Jaume Collet-Serra is attached to direct the film, which I think we all hope will turns out to be awesome. 

French director Fabien Dubois has created an interesting fan-made teaser trailer for his own vision of Akira, which is very different from what we know. I'm not sure of the tone of the film--it seems a bit weird. After watching this a few times, I don't think it really even feels like Akira. The only similarities I see are the title and the Pill graphic on the back of the Jacket. Not sure why the Kaneda type character has these powers, but it's just a fan's vision of the story.
