COMIC-CON EPISODE IV: A FAN'S HOPE - Documentary Trailer

TrailerMovie Comic-Con by Joey Paur

I freakin' love going to Comic-Con! That culture is a part of who I am, it's one of my main inspirations for starting GeekTyrant. Without Comic-Con, GeekTyrant might not exist. When I first started going to Comic-Con you could literally purchase your pass at the door. As you know, those days are gone, and Comic-Con has become the most insane geek adventure ever. It's seriously the best part of the year for me, and I always look forward to it. Regardless of how crazy it's gotten, I thrive on the thrill of seeing as much geek awesomeness as I possibly can! Every year seems to get better and better for me.

Morgan Spurlock has made a new documentary called Comic-Con Episode IV: A Fan's Hope, and it revolves around the Comic-Con culture and the people who attend it. He followed five people to Comic-Con last year and filmed their experiences. These individuals consist of a toy collector, a couple of artists, a comic book guy, and a costume make-up designer. All of them seem like they're crazy hardcore about it.

I'm not the biggest fan of Spurlock's films, but I'll definitely be watching this because it is about something I'm passionate about.

Here's the synopsis:

Have you ever imagined a place where Vulcans and vampires get along? Where wizards and wookies can be themselves? Welcome to Comic-Con San Diego. What started as a fringe comic book convention for 500 fans has grown into the pop culture event of the year that influences every form of entertainment, now attended by over 140,000 strong. COMIC-CON EPISODE IV: A FAN'S HOPE- a film by Morgan Spurlock explores this amazing cultural phenomenon by following the lives of five attendees as they descend upon the ultimate geek mecca at San Diego Comic-Con 2010.

The Doc comes out on April 6th, 2012. What is your favorite part about going to Comic-Con?
