Lucy Liu Will Play Watson in New Sherlock Holmes Series ELEMENTARY

Lucy Liu (Kill Bill, Southland) has been cast as Sherlock Holmes' mystery-solving partner Watson in the upcoming CBS Drama series Elementary. The show is a modern day retelling of Sherlock Holmes, and I guess it was only a matter of time before Watson would be played by a woman, which I don't have a problem with. I like Lui and think she can be badass in the role. 

Lui will join Jonny Lee Miller, who will be taking on the role of Sherlock, a recovering addict and consultant for the NYPD. Liu will play Joan Watson, a former surgeon-turned-sober companion who looks after Holmes.

Can you get behind Liu taking on the role of Watson in this new series? It definitely puts a whole new dynamic and the characters relationship.
