Alex Proyas' PARADISE LOST Movie Is Dead

According to Deadline, the Alex Proyas (The Crow) directed film Paradise Lost in which Bradley Cooper (The Hangover) was supposed to play Lucifer is dead. This news comes shortly after the film's production was delayed due to money issues. It was supposed to start shooting this summer, but that's obviously not going to happen.

The film was to be based on the epic 17th-century poem by John Milton and was supposed to be a epic-sized movie about good vs. evil.  It would tell the story of the war in heaven between archangels Michael and Lucifer, including the latter's role in Adam and Eve's fall from grace.

The movie would also have starred Benjamin Walker as the archangel Michael, Diego Boneta as Adam, and Camilla Belle would have taken on the role of Eve.

It's a shame that this movie fell apart. I'm a little disappointed because it could have been pretty freakin' incredible.
