Mary Elizabeth Winstead Joins THE DARKNESS

Mary Elizabeth Winstead (Scott Pilgrim vs. the World, The Thing, Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter) will star in a psychological thriller titled The Darkness. German filmmaker Daniel Stamm (The Last Exorcism) will helm the film written by Megan Holley (Sunshine Cleaning). It is scheduled to begin shooting this summer in Europe.

The film centers around

[Winstead] as an American student looking after her tutor's two children in a remote English manor house. She soon comes to believe that she and the children are being haunted when their lives are threatened by mysterious events.

With a career comprised largely of horror films, Winstead is a natural fit in this new film. What do you think? Will you go see the film or shun The Darkness?
