Tim Burton's FRANKENWEENIE Trailer Released!

After making the box office blockbuster Alice in Wonderland, director Tim Burton is bringing one of his oldest projects back to life (in more ways than one) with the new 3D stopmotion animated film, Walt Disney Pictures' Frankenweenie

The film's plot synopsis reads:

After unexpectedly losing his beloved dog Sparky, young Victor harnesses the power of science to bring his best friend back to life—with just a few minor adjustments. He tries to hide his home-sewn creation, but when Sparky gets out, Victor's fellow students, teachers and the entire town all learn that getting a new "leash on life" can be monstrous.

I think the trailer is really, really good (other than the mother's schmaltzy "they never go away, they're still here in your heart" speech and the use of too familiar Danny Elfman themes). It really recaptures the heart from the original live-action short from 1984 and looks like a lot of fun. Is Burton's "pet project" alive or should it be reburied?

No author bio. End of line.
