BRAD PITT Circling Ridley Scott's THE COUNSELOR

The cast is still up in the air for Ridley Scott's The Counselor, which is based on a script by Cormac McCarthy. Twitch is reporting that Brad Pitt is still circling a role in the film. Pitt was thought to be out of the mix after it was reported that Javier Bardem and Jeremy Renner were top contendors. 

Pitt may join the mix to play the minor role of "Westray - a business associate of the counselor's." It is not known if this means that the role may become larger if Pitt signs on, or if there may be some role changes further down the road. 

McCarthy and Scott's involvement make any role in this film a hot commodity. Michael Fassbender is locked for the lead and Natalie Portman is already on board for the female lead. The addition of Renner or Bardem and Pitt make this a must-watch movie for me.
