Tim Miller To Direct GRAVEL Adaptation
Tim Miller is set to make his feature directorial debut on the adaptation of Warren Ellis' Gravel for Legendary Pictures. Deadline reports that Oliver Butcher and Stephen Cornwell are writing the live action movie, which is being produced by Rick Alexander and executive produced by Ellis. The Avatar Press comic tells the story of "William Gravel, a soldier in the British S.A.S. who uses his skills in dark magic to moonlight and battle supernatural beings for clients in order to make some extra cash."
Miller is the co-founder and owner of Blur Studio, a CG animation studio known for its video game cinematics. He recently directed the awesome title sequence for David Fincher's The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo. Fox hired him last year to write X-Men Origins: Deadpool.
Gravel will be released by Warner Bros. through Legendary’s agreement with the studio. I think that Miller is the perfect person to direct this movie. He will be able to take the comic and infuse with his visual style and create a cool film. Do you think that Miller is a good fit to helm this movie?
