It doesn't look like we're going to see a live-action film adaptation of the video game Bioshock anytime soon, as its director Juan Carlos Fresnadillo recently revealed that he's no longer attached to the project. But today we bring you a pretty awesome original fan-made film worth checking out.
The short is set within the world of the game franchise. This movie is called New Year's End: A BioShock Short Film, and it precedes the events of Bioshock 1 and 2. The story "gives a look at a very significant event in Rapture's history. In the lowest parts of the city, a small group of splicers have something planned that will change the course of Andrew Ryan's vision of utopia."
The film was made by Jared Potter and has decent production value and design. It does a solid job of capturing the essence and spirit of the game. I really enjoyed it, and I think fans of the game will like it as well. I especially liked the sounds used. Watch it, and tell us if you liked it or not!
