Warner Bros. pictures has offered Mila Kunis and Channing Tatum the lead roles in Lana and Andy Wachowki's new sci-fi film project Jupiter Ascending. There's no information on the plot of this movie yet, but I have enjoyed all of the Wachowski's films, and this will be their first big epic sci-fi film since The Matrix trilogy. Jupiter Ascending is an original story concept that is scheduled to start shooting later this year.
Tatum is really hitting Hollywood hard. He seems to be landing all kinds of good roles these days. He most recently starred in the comedy 21 Jump Street, which in my opinion is his best movie role to date. He was pretty damn funny. I guess if anyone could sell Tatum to the fanboys and fangirls, it's the Wachowskis, just look what they did with Keanu Reeves. Then you have Kunis who's a beautiful and solidly talented actress. She recently finished shooting Sam Raimi's OZ, The Great and Powerful.
I wish I knew what this movie is going to be about! I hope it ends up blowing us away like they did with The Matrix. The directors recently completed shooting Cloud Atlas with a cast that includes Tom Hanks, Jim Sturgess, and Hugh Grant.
What do you think about Kunis and Tatum possibly joining this film? Personally I think they would be stupid not to take it... unless the script sucks.
