TMNT Movie Titled NINJA TURTLES, Characters Won't Be Teenagers Either?

We now have the working title and some more info about the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie, thanks to our friends at Bleeding Cool. Paramount-Nickelodeon's movie being produced by Michael Bay and directed by Jonathan Libesman is going by the working title of Ninja Turtles. So not only will “Mutant” be removed, but so will "Teenage." 

No official statement has been released as to why this decision was made. Here is what a source close to the project had to say:

It seems to be driven by marketing. Think of John Carter and how Disney wouldn’t allow for a title with either “Princess” or “Mars”.

This has not been confirmed, so consider it a rumor for now. We will keep you posted as more news comes in. Based on the title, it looks as though they are not planning on keeping the teenage characteristics about the characters. I personally think that is a mistake, what makes the turtles so cool is that they are teen turtles fighting evil.
