Elle Fanning in Talks To Play Princess Aurora in MALEFICENT

Disney is gearing up Robert Stromberg's Maleficent for production. I imagine the film will start shooting soon as it will be Angelina Jolie's next movie. Today it's being reported by Twitch that Elle Fanning (Super 8) is currently in talks to take on the role of Princess Aurora, a.k.a. Sleeping Beauty, in the film.

Fanning is an extremely talented young actress that is a great choice for this role. So far in her career as an actress she's worked with David Fincher in The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, J.J. Abrams in Super 8, Francis Ford Coppola in Twixt, and Cameron Crowe in We Bought a Zoo. That's an impressive list of directors, who obviously see that she has talent and like working with her. 

I hope she ends up getting the role; I think she'd be great playing opposite Jolie. What do you think?
