Angelina Jolie may Join Ridley Scott's THE COUNCELOR
Ridley Scott's and Cormac McCarthy's film The Councelor is shaping up to be and a epic project in Hollywood right now. So far it's brought in stars such as Michael Fassbender, Natalie Portman, Javier Bardem, Jeremy Renner and even Brad Pitt. Now Vulture is reporting that Pitt's wife Angelina Jolie might end up jumping on board the project as well, and that 20th Century Fox is discussion to distribute and co-finance the movie. Like Pitt's role in the film, Jolie's part will be a small one. It's not set in stone yet, but it seems things are headed in that direction.
The film will come from an original script by McCarthy, the Pulitzer Prize–winning author of The Road and No Country for Old Men. The story follows a respected lawyer who thinks he can dip a toe into the drug business without getting sucked down. This is obviously a bad decision, he gets in over his head, and he tries his best to survive it and get out of a desperate situation.
Scott and McCarthy working on this film project is a great team-up, and so far the talent involved is very impressive. This is shaping up to be a hell of a great movie, and I'm looking forward to seeing how it turns out. What are your thoughts on how this movie is coming together so far?
