Badass Fully Functional AKIRA Motorcycle made for $121K
I think the dream motorcycle for any geek is the one featured in Katsuhiro Otomo's Akira. Who of us haven't said to ourselves that we'd love to take that thing out for an epic ride of awesomeness. Well, one person decided to stop dreaming about it and make it a reality. Japanese resident Masashi Teshima invested sever years of his life and $121,000 dollars to bring the iconic bike to life, and I have to say it turned out pretty freakin' awesome!
Teshima will take the bike on cross-country ride to raise money for children's autism research. The trip will end in Tokyo where the bike will be displayed at an "art of Katsuhiro Otomo" exhibition. As Teshima lives the dream of a million geeks, the rest of us are still left to saying to ourselves that we'd love to take this thing out for a spin to tear up the streets in which we live.
