First Bit of Footage From Joss Whedon's MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING
Buried in a CBS news profile piece about The Avengers' writer/director Joss Whedon, we get our first tiny glimpse at what the Buffy creator has in store for his micro-budget adaptation of Shakespeare's Much Ado About Nothing. Shot entirely at his Santa Monica home, Whedon has enlisted a cast of his regular accomplices including Fran Kranz, Clark Gregg, Nathan Fillion, Amy Acker, and more to take on The Bard's iconic characters.
The Much Ado About Nothing footage isn't much of a reveal, although it does confirmthe black-and-white color palette and shows us that although the location may have changed from Shakespeare's original work, the dialogue has not. The full video is worth a watch for those of you who aren't terribly familiar with Whedon's previous works, but for those just lookin' for a little Shakespeare action, the stuff you're looking for can be found at the end of the clip.
