HUNGER GAMES Parody In The Works From SCARY MOVIE Writers
Whenever a movie gets super popular, like The Hunger Games, you know it is only a matter of time before a parody of some kind gets made. Variety is reporting that Jason Friedberg and Aaron Seltzer, the writers of Scary Movie, are set to write and direct a spoof film titled The Starving Games. The spoof will follow the same style that their other big-screen parodies have used, including Date Movie,Epic Movie, Meet the Spartans, Disaster Movie, and Vampires Suck.
Starving Games will mainly take place in the world of Suzanne Collins' Panem but will, also include other recent big screen hits like Marvel's The Avengers, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part II and Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows. Production is likely to begin in the near future, with Peter Safran producing.
The first Scary Movie film was decent, but they do not compare in quality to Airplane or Naked Gun in my opinion. I have not seen any of these spoof films as a result. Do you plan on seeing The Starving Games?
