Kyle Chandler Joins Martin Scorsese's THE WOLF OF WALL STREET

Kyle Chandler (Super 8, Friday Night Lights) has found his next feature film role. Deadline reports that he will star alongside Leonardo DiCaprio and Jonah Hill in The Wolf Of Wall StreetMartin Scorsese is directing based on the Jordan Belfort memoir that was adapted by Boardwalk Empire creator Terence Winter

DiCaprio plays Belfort, "who experiences a dramatic rise on Wall Street, and gets lost in the drugs and other excess of a hard partying lifestyle that comes hand in hand with all that money. His downfall is precipitous, and he spent 22 months in jail before straightening out his life." Chandler will play FBI agent Coleman, "who built the case against Belfort and took him down." Hill will take on the role of Belfort’s close friend and business partner who’s "persuaded by Belfort to quit his job in the furniture business to jump into volatile world of stocks."

Chandler has been focusing on feature roles since walking off the field as Coach Taylor. He will next be seen in the Ben Affleck-directed ArgoBroken City with Mark Wahlberg and Russell Crowe, and Zero Dark Thirty, the Kathryn Bigelow-directed drama about the hunt for Osama Bin Laden. There is a possibility of a Friday Night Lights film, but there is no word on that project at this time.

I have not watched an episode of Friday Night Lights, but enjoyed Chandler in Super 8. He has some great roles lined up, and this sounds like one of the better ones. What are your thoughts?
