My Little Pony... Jack Kirby Style

Here's an awesome piece "what if" fan art, that gives us a taste of what My Little Pony might have been like had it been illustrated by Jack Kirby. I found the piece over at Comics Alliance who have a fun series that envisions alternate-universe comic art, and it's called Great Comics That Never Happened. This bit of art craziness comes from artist Tom Scioli. Even though this is probably the coolest My Little Pony design I've ever seen, I'm not sure if I still would have read the comics or watched the cartoons. What do you think of the Kirby Pony makover? 

Here's the fictional Synopsis:
