MOCKINGBIRD LANE - First Look at Marilyn Munster

TVPhotos by Joey Paur

The new Munsters series Mockingbird Lane started shooting yesterday, and thanks to Bryan Fuller (Pushing Daisies) we have our first look at Charity Wakefield as Marilyn Munster on the set of the NBC series. I love the style of the photo released, and I hope the actual show incorporates it. It's kind of got an American Horror Story vibe, only it will be a family oriented series.

Bryan Singer (Superman Returns) is directing the pilot episode for the series which is based on the 1960's show. The story follows a family of monsters that consists of vampires, werewolves, and Frankenstein, and their normal cousin (Wakefield).

Jerry O'Connell stars in the series as Herman Munster, described as a great dad and devoted husband. He is married to Lily, who will be played by Portia De Rossi, a vampire, with whom he has fathered a 10-year-old boy named Eddie (Mason Cook). Herman works at a funeral home, and worries that Eddie’s transformation into a werewolf and burgeoning awareness of his family’s origins will crush the boy’s spirit. Eddie Izzard will play Grandpa in the show.

What do you think of this first look?
