Disney’s PHINEAS AND FERB To Cross-Over with the Marvel Universe!

Comic BookTV Marvel by Zack Parks

In 2008, Phineas and Ferb debuted on Disney Channel. It was a new show with an interesting premise: during the 104 days of summer vacation, two stepbrothers Phineas and Ferb do all they can to have fun under the sun while their paranoid older sister attempts to foil their plans. The series was a surprise for Disney appealing not only to children and families but also to older viewers in high school and college.

Becoming Disney’s flagship animated series, the series spanned three seasons and even an animated TV movie. Next year, Phineas and Ferb will get bigger and better with an all-new live-action theatrical film being written by Academy Award-winner Michael Arndt (Little Miss Sunshine, Toy Story 3 and the upcoming The Hunger Games: Catching Fire). But that won’t be the only adventure that the two boys from Danville are about to undertake. Jim Hill, a Disney insider, has revealed plans that Disney will cross-over Phineas and Ferb into the Marvel Universe!

“Coming out of this week’s Licensing Expo in Las Vegas is news that 2013 will bring a special programming event where the characters from the Disney Channel/Disney XD’s super popular ‘Phineas and Ferb’ will cross over into the Marvel Universe.”

This is exciting news for fans of both properties, which are jointly owned by Disney. Disney already has a successful run in Marvel animated series like Ultimate Spider-Man which will be joined by Marvel’s Avengers Assemble (the series that will take over for The Avengers: Earth’s Mightiest Heroes) and Hulk and the Agents of S.M.A.S.H. I can’t wait to see what will happen when these worlds collide. Who in the Marvel Universe would you like Phineas and Ferb to meet?
