Jon Bernthal Joins Martin Scorcese's THE WOLF OF WALL STREET
The cast of Martin Scorcese's The Wolf of Wall Street has gained two new members. THR reports that The Walking Dead star Jon Bernthal will play a drug dealer and money launderer opposite Leonardo DiCaprio, Jonah Hill, Kyle Chandler, Jean Dujardin, and Margot Robbit. It is also reported that Rob Reiner is in talks to join the cast. Production is slated to begin this August in New York.
Terrence Winter (The Soprano's, Boardwalk Empire) adapted the screenplay for the drama from Jordan Belfort's best-selling memoir. The story follows "Jordan Belfort’s (DiCaprio) dramatic rise and fall on Wall Street, along with his hard-partying lifestyle and tumultuous personal life, which included drug and alcohol addiction." Reiner would play Max Belfort, the father of DiCaprio's character.
I think that this movie has Oscar written all over it for DiCaprio and/or Scorcese. I think both actors will make a great addition to this all-star cast. What are your thoughts?
