Peter Pan Drama THE LEAGUE OF PAN Preps for TV This Fall

A modern day Peter Pan drama is heading to TV screens this fall. Deadline reports that 20th Century Fox TV and Imagine TV are developing one of the first high-profile series projects for next season, called The League Of Pan. Brian McCauley Johnson created the concept that reimagines the classic. The project is described as "a re-imagining of the Peter Pan mythology. Set in modern day, it centers around the Lost Boys and takes place 10 years after they’ve left Neverland."

A showrunner is currently being sought to flesh out a script with Johnson and take the project to the networks. There should not be any problems selling this show to networks because of shows like Once Upon A Time and Grimm. There are also two Peter Pan feature films in the works. One is also "a contemporary reimagining of the the story that centers on the Peter Pan-Captain Hook relationship," and the other is an indie set to star Aaron Eckhart as Hook, a detective chasing childlike kidnapper Peter.

I am not a fan of Grimm or Once Upon A Time, but I like the Peter Pan story. League of Pan sounds like a show that I would enjoy watching. Do you think that a modern-day Peter Pan will work?
