Here's the trailer to Robert Zemekis' new film Flight. This is the directors first live action film since Cast Away, which he made over twelve years ago. He kind of got lost in that whole motion capture technology for awhile. The movie stars Denzel Washington as a airline pilot who lands a plane that is about to crash. He manages to land the plane with minimal casualties and is seen as a hero. Things take a turn for the worse when an investigation into the cause of the crash unfolds, it becomes clear that he was flying under the influence of drugs and alcohol.
This is a fantastic trailer, and it looks like a really great movie. It's good to see Zemekis has still got his directing skills. Those motion capture films he'd been making had me worried for awhile. The film also stars John Goodman, James Badge Dale, Don Cheadle, and Melissa Leo. It looks like Washington give a hell of a performance. I'm excited about seeing this movie.
Here's the Synopsis:
In this action-packed mystery thriller, Academy Award winner Denzel Washington stars as Whip Whitaker, a seasoned airline pilot who miraculously crash-lands his plane after a mid-air catastrophe, saving nearly every soul on board. After the crash, Whip is hailed as a hero, but as more is learned, more questions than answers arise as to who or what was really at fault, and what really happened on that plane?
Flight comes out on November 2nd. Do you think this looks like a good movie?
