TRANSFORMERS 4 Will Be Michael Bay's Last and Sets Up Future Films

Michael Bay is currently preparing to direct his fourth Transformers film for Paramount Pictures. This comes after he said Transformers: Dark of the Moon would be his last. It's hard to imagine anyone else doing it because we're all so used to Bay's style, but I wouldn't mind seeing someone else take over the franchise, because unsurprisingly, Transformers 4 wont be the last Transformers film we see.

The LA Times recently did an in-depth article on Transformers: The Ride, and new 3D theme park attraction that just opened up at Universal Studios. In the article they throw in a little blurb about Transformers 4, and how it will really be Michael Bays last film in the franchise, and that it will set up the future films that will be made.

There’s plenty more Transformer action to come with a major new video game release, “Transformers: Fall of Cybertron,” due in August and another Bay movie in the works. (The director, by the way, says that the fourth film will include some redesign of the robots and an entirely new cast. He also said it will be his last and set the franchise up “for the next guy.”)

It will be interesting to see where they end up taking the franchise. Shia LaBeouf won't be coming back for the fourth film, and we're not sure if anyone else will be back either. I thought the last Transformers movie was the best in the franchise, and I hope they continue to get better. Are you excited for the future of Transformers movies?
