EASTERN PROMISES 2 - Plot Details and Vincent Cassel Returns

Chances are if you clicked through to read this article you've already seen David Cronenberg’s Eastern Promises, but if you haven't watched it yet, do yourself a favor and watch it now. Thanks to Vulture, we've learned that Vincent Cassel is in negotiations to reprise his role Eastern Promises 2, which would reteam him with Viggo Mortensen. 

We also have the first plot details from the film, which will pick up right where the first movie left off. "With the incompetent underboss Kirill (Cassel) thinking that he and his henchman driver Nikolai (Mortensen) really have inherited the throne from his crime-lord father, without knowing that Nikolai is actually a clandestine agent working undercover in Russia’s federal security service."

I've been extremely excited about this film happening, but it's been hard to tell if it was actually going to happen or not. We've been hearing about it for about two years already, but it looks like it's definitely going to roll forward into production! Cronenberg will be shooting the movie next year, and I can't wait to see it! Are you excited about seeing a sequel to Eastern Promises?
