New LOOPER Featurette for the Cool Musical Score - Time Machine

Rian Jonson's Looper looks like it could be one of this year's best movies, and I can't wait to see it! The director has once again enlisted the help of his cousin Nathan Johnson to create the musical score for the time travel sci-fi film. It's pretty awesome to hear the score they created, and a featurette has been released that shows us how they came up with it! Basically, Nathan collected several different sounds from a bunch of unlikely sources to build a virtual orchestra, which is what he used to create the music. The result ended up being extremely cool, different, and trippy. The video includes a track from the film called "Time Machine."

Thanks to Aint it Cool News for the video!

Rian Johnson and Nathan Johnson will be holding a panel at San Diego Comic-Con called The Character Of Music, which takes place on Thursday, July 12th, from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM in Room 5AB. There they will discuss their score for LOOPER. Blake Neely (Arrow), Chris Lennertz (Revolution, Supernatural), and Joseph Trapanese (The Raid: Redemption, Tron: Uprising) and Charlie Bean (Tron: Uprising).
