New Photo from Guillermo del Toro's PACIFIC RIM

Earlier this week Warner bros. released an awesome looking Comic-Con poster for Guillermo del Toro's Pacific Rim. We've got a new photo from the film featuring Charlie Hunnam and Rinko Kikuchi looking ready for battle in their big-ass monster fighting robots. 

The script for Pacific Rim was written by Travis Beacham (Clash of the Titans), and also stars Charlie Hunnam (Sons of Anarchy), Idris Elba (Thor), Rinko Kikuchi (The Brothers Bloom), Charlie Day (Horrible Bosses), and Ron Perlman (Hellboy). The ensemble cast also includesMax Martini, Robert Kazinsky, Clifton Collins, Jr., Burn Gorman, Larry Joe Campbell, Diego Klattenhoff, and Brad William Henke.

Here is the synopsis:

In Pacific Rim, legions of monstrous creatures known as Kaiju started rising from the sea and begin a war that would take millions of lives and consume humanity’s resources for years on end. To combat the giant Kaiju, a special type of weapon was devised: massive robots, called Jaegers, which are controlled simultaneously by two pilots whose minds are locked in a neural bridge. 

Warner Bros. will release the movie on July 12th, 2013.
