Daniel Radcliffe Cast in the Horror Film HORNS

Movie by Joey Paur

Daniel Radcliffe is set to star in director Alexandre Aja's supernatural horror thriller Horns, based on the book written by Joe Hill. Radcliff must enjoy making horror films. He recently starred in the film The Woman in Black for Hammer, which was great! So it's cool to see him jump back in another horror film.

Radcliffe will play a character named Ig Perrish, "the lead suspect in the violent rape and killing of his girlfriend. Hungover from a night of hard drinking, Ig awakens one morning to find horns starting to grow from his head. Their power drives people to confess sins and give in to selfish impulses -- an effective tool in his quest to discover the circumstances of his girlfriend's death and for exacting revenge. The dark fantasy explores why bad things happen to good people and what the loss of true love can do to a man."

Aja had this to say in a statement,

After reading Joe Hill's cult book, I couldn't resist temptation to dive into the devilish underworld and reinvent a universal myth. Horns is a wild ride of sin and crime, with a love story in its heart.

This should end up being a solid movie, and I think Radcliff is a good choice for the character.

Here's the description of the book:

Merrin Williams is dead, slaughtered under inexplicable circumstances, leaving her beloved boyfriend Ignatius Perrish as the only suspect. On the first anniversary of Merrin's murder, Ig spends the night drunk and doing awful things. When he wakes the next morning he has a thunderous hangover . . . and horns growing from his temples. Ig possesses a terrible new power to go with his terrible new look—a macabre gift he intends to use to find the monster who killed his lover. Being good and praying for the best got him nowhere. Now it's time for revenge . . .

It's time the devil had his due. . . .
