HBO Renews TRUE BLOOD and THE NEWSROOM

HBO has picked up a second season of Aaron Sorkin's fantastic drama The Newsroom, as well as a sixth season of its vampire series True Blood

If you haven't been watching The Newsroom you should definitely jump on board. It's only two episodes in, and it's a damn good series! Jeff Daniels pays a news anchor named Will McAvoy, who, together with his staff, set out to put on a news show "in the face of corporate and commercial obstacles and their own personal entanglements." The show drew 2.1 million viewers.

As for True Blood, the fifth season is going strong. It ended up bringing in 4.7 million viewers. It's not really surprising to hear that both these series got picked up for new seasons.

I'm happy that these will both be coming back! If you've been watching the shows what have you thought about them so far?
