THE WALKING DEAD Season 3 First Look - Zombie Battle at Prison
As you know, season 3 of The Walking Dead will be set at The Prison, and if you've read the comics then you know we have yet another awesome season ahead of us! These photos give us our first look of the prison grounds from the upcoming season! This is such a great and intense setting for the story. It basically becomes the new home or fortress for Rick Grimes and the others. These first couple of pictures show the characters fighting off Zombies on the prisongrounds.
Showrunner Glen Mazzara had this to say to EW about the prison setting in a recent interview,
I’m incredibly proud of the prison. I think our crew has done a great job. It’s a huge sense of scale and magnitude I haven’t seen on any other show as far as construction. What’s important to us is the prison itself is now a character in the show. It’s a haunted house, it’s scary, it’s frightening, and there are parts of the prison that are always terrifying, that are always inaccessible to our group. It’s not necessarily the blessing that the prison in the comic book turned out to be.
Walking Dead creator Robert Kirkman adds,
Grace Walker, who’s our production designer, has really put this thing together. It looks absolutely amazing.
The Walking Dead will air on Sundays at 9pm on AMC, and the season 3 premiere will hit this fall! If you plan on attending the Walking Dead panel at Comic-Con, then you'll get to see some of the first footage from the upcoming season as well! I can't wait to see what madness is in store for us!
