The Otamatone Is Weirdly Awesome

I don't know whether to be amazed or appalled. Amused or in anguish. Astounded or...does that thing have a face?! For two years this thing has flown below the mainstream radar...until now. With the musical capability of a Theremin, this little gadget looks as though it could find a niche in the geek American market...if it hasn't with the Otaku crowd already. I wouldn't know, as many of the ones I know don't venture outside their protective circles too often.

Looks like all you have to do is press a button on the back and slide your hand up and down the neck. You can open the mouth to project the sound, or keep it closed for a hum if you so choose. Check out some impressive demos. Buy one if you feel extra ambitious.
