Trailer for THE BIG WEDDING a Crappy Movie with an All-Star Cast

TrailerMovie by Joey Paur

The first trailer has been released for the new romantic comedy, The Big Wedding. The movie has an impressive cast lineup that includes Robert DeNiro, Katherine Heigl, Diane Keaton, Amanda Seyfried, Topher Grace, Susan Sarandon, and Robin Williams.

As you can see the cast is loaded with Oscar winners and nominees, unfortunately, this movie looks absolutely awful! That's sad. How can you gather together a group of actors like this together and then make a crap film? I'll just blame it on Heigl since she always makes bad movies. I guess there's a market out there for this kind of film, and I'm not it. The reason I posted the trailer was to rant about the fact that it's a waste of talent. After all, much of the older cast are movie legends!

The movie follows a "charmingly modern family trying to survive a weekend wedding celebration that has the potential to become a full blown family fiasco. To the amusement of their adult children and friends, long divorced couple Don and Ellie Griffin (De Niro and Keaton) are once again forced to play the happy couple for the sake of their adopted son’s wedding after his ultra conservative biological mother unexpectedly decides to fly halfway across the world to attend. With all of the wedding guests looking on, the Griffins are hilariously forced to confront their past, present and future – and hopefully avoid killing each other in the process."

The movie was written and directed Justin Zackham, who shouldn't be allowed to make any more movies. Watch the trailer and let me know if you agree with my assessment, or if I'm being too hard on it.
