Darren Aronofsky Casts Anthony Hopkins in NOAH

According to Darren Aronofsky he's cast legendary actor Anthony Hopkins in the role of Methuselah in his epic Noah movie. The director revealed the news on his twitter account saying,

i'm honored to be working with the great sir anthony hopkins. we just added him to the stellar cast of #Noah; #methuselahlives.

For those of you who forgot your Bible studies in Sunday school, Methuselah is the world's oldest man mentioned in the Hebrew Bible. His age is somewhere along the lines of 969-years old. According to the story he died seven days before the Great Flood that engulfed the world.

Hopkins makes an amazing addition to that cast that also includes Russell Crowe, Jennifer Connelly, Saoirse Ronan, Douglas Booth, Logan Lerman, Emma Watson and Ray Winstone. It's going to be so cool to see what Aronofsky is planning for this visually.

The movie is currently shooting, and will be released by Paramount Pictures on March 28th, 2014.
