Want to See Ashton Kutcher as an Older Steve Jobs?
Some more photos have surfaced from the set of the indie film jOBS showing us Ashton Kutcher as an older Steve Jobs. As you can see he's sporting the signature glasses that Jobs used to wear. It has yet to be seen how good of an actor Kutcher turns out to be in this movie, but he most definitely looks the part!
The movie is being directed by Joshua Michael Stern (Swing Vote), and you can click here to see some more previously released set photos showing Josh Gad as Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak; Ahna O’Reilly as Jobs’ girlfriend Chris-Ann Brennan; Lukas Haas as Apple employee Daniel Kottke; Dermot Mulroney as former Apple CEO Mike Markkula; and Matthew Modine as former Apple CEO John Sculley.
Sony pictures is currently developing their own Job's biopic which is currently being written by Aaron Sorkin. It'll be interesting to see who Sony ends up casting as Jobs. I'm interested in seeing both films, but I'm more excited to see the one Sony is developing.
Can you think of any other actors you'd like to see play Jobs? Do you think Kutcher has the acting chops to pull this off?
Here's the Synospsis:
The film covers Jobs from his early years as an impressionable youth and wayward hippie, through his initial successes and infamous ousting, to his storybook return and ultimate triumphs as a man who set out to change the world and did just that.
jOBS chronicles the 30 most defining years of Steve Jobs’ life, as seen through his, colleagues’, and friends’ eyes. Dark, honest, and uncompromising, jOBS plunges into the depths of his character, creating an intense dialogue-driven story that is as much a sweeping epic as it is an immensely personal portrait of Steve Jobs’ life.
A rousing narrative of this business and tech icon, jOBS pulls no punches and does not speculate, telling only the candid and captivating account of the life of Steven Paul Jobs.
The film is expected to open sometime this year.
