THE MASTER - Final Intense Trailer

I'm excited about seeing Paul Thomas Anderson's The Master finally get released! At one point I wasn't sure it would get made due to pressure from the Scientologists, because the story for the film is loosely based on their religion. The final trailer has been released and it includes a ton of new footage from the intense looking film.

The story is set in America in the years following World War II. A charismatic man returns home to America from World War II and forms a faith-based organization. He is now known as "the Master" and his belief system is catching on. As the group is gaining momentum and adding new converts, a young drifter arrives and becomes the MasterÂ’'s invaluable aid.

The film stars Joaquin Phoenix, Philip Symour Hoffman, Jesse Plemons, David Warshofsky, Amy Adams, and Rami Malek. The movie gets a limited release on September 14th, and will expand to other theaters on September 21st. I wonder how this movie will be recieved by audiences. I love Anderson's films, he's great at storytelling and his films are also shot incredibly well. I can't wait to see how this turns out. Enjoy the trailer!
