Sam Raimi Gives Update on the New Horror Film He's Writing

Last week director Sam Raimi revealed in an interview that he is currently working on a script for a new horror film he wants direct. Here's what he revealed at the time,

I'd like to make another horror movie, I'm writing one with my brother right now.  I'm really looking forward to it.

A lot of people were really excited about this announcement. He didn't give a lot of details on what the movie would be about at the time of the interview, but STYD recently followed up with him on the project, and here's what he said,

I'm beginning to think I should not have said anything because I don't want to start looking at it from the outside and looking at it analytically.  So, we're going to keep writing it.  It's a very simple story about a character, we're trying to figure out what they want, it's all of the basic stuff - how they come involved with this darker force.  There's nothing much to tell [yet], I've got a three-page treatment we're working off of right now.

I wouldn't expect him to give us any crazy details on the project right now, but it's just awesome to know that Raimi is going to give the world another horror film. Raimi has such a fun and unique filmmaking style, and I can't wait to see what he's got cooking for his horror fans!
