Penn and Teller Creating NEW(KD) LAS VEGAS Haunted Maze

I was actually in Las Vegas this weekend, and while I was there I caught Pen & Teller's show at the Rio. These guys are so fun to watch up on stage. They have a great show and really know how to entertain the crowd with all kinds of badass magic!

The dynamic duo of magic will bring their incredible “eccentric and edgy illusionist entertainment” to Universal Studios Halloween Horror Nights. They've created an elaborate themed 3D haunted house for the event called New(kd) Las Vegas, which is described as a “dark, dilapidated and radioactive version of ‘Sin City’…” A promo video has been released giving us a glimpse of what we can expect from the haunted Vegas maze.

This is awesome for anyone that will be going to the Orlando Florido Universal Studio Halloween Horror Night theme park, unfortunately for the rest of us in Southern California we won't be getting it. Universal already had a 3D maze planned based around Alice Cooper, which is sure not to be as awesome as what Penn & Teller have created.

World-renowned magicians Penn & Teller have accidentally nuked Las Vegas, but don’t worry, it’s nothing a fresh coat of paint and a truckload of BS can’t fix! Come on down to New Vegas, where all that glitters isn’t gold, and in fact probably has fatal levels of radioactivity.

Penn Jillette had this to say in a statement,

We thought it would be really funny if we would do a new act that was really spectacular using nuclear warheads and blew up Vegas and made the whole thing a nightmare, it's not very much of a push from what the city is like now.

For years, people have talked to us about doing a haunted house, but we could never really come up with an idea. It always seemed like an amateurish venture unless you could have the resources that Universal has. It's an artform that they've perfected.

Raymond Teller added,

We normally do the show and the audience sits in the chair. Now the audience gets up and moves through the show.

Check out the promo video below, and let us know if you enjoy the magic and comedy of Penn & Teller.
